Senior Insight Planner – Client-side

ABA seeks a self-assured Senior Insight Planner to play a key role, client-side with a major retailer based in Head Offices at Lutterworth

Role objective; To drive the customer agenda in the business, asking powerful questions & challenging on behalf of the customer; consulting in key strategic decisions to ensure we do the right thing for our customer

Reporting into: Insight Manager

Roles & responsibilities

  • Spot business opportunities, reduce risk and compel action on behalf of the customer; Represent the voice of the customer within the business
  • Deliver strategic insight projects, which deliver clear direction for the business
  • Analysis & interpretation of ongoing customer and market data; building a clear story that compels the business to act
  • Ask powerful questions that challenge the business and ensure we do the right thing for the customer.Share compelling & actionable monthly Insight updates at Leadership Team meeting, which drive business decisions & planning at a Senior level  
  • Communicate Insights with presence and impact; influence strategic business decision making & planning
  • Develop & maintain effective & collaborative relationships around the business at all levels.  Liaison with wider Trading Insight team to ensure alignment
  • Innovate; actively seek new & impactful approaches to Insight.Keep in touch with industry developments, news & innovations
  • Manage a number of expert agencies; Coach agencies in the organisation’s ways of working, deliverables & standards, to ensure maximum value and effective delivery.Build positive & collaborative relationships with agencies

  • Relationship building & management with key stakeholders
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; strong ability to influence at all levels is key
  • Ability to interpret the questions of key stakeholders into an effective brief
  • Strong prioritisation & organisation skills
  • Understanding of market data, quantitative research and qualitative research, with the ability to interpret and explain a variety of data types
  • Translation of data and research in a way that compels and influences action
  • Previous experience of managing agencies
