Great Britain’s gambling industry is in a constant state of change, fuelled by shifting consumer behaviour and the rapid growth of technology. It’s high profile politically too, and the legislation controlling gambling is constantly under scrutiny. Within this uniquely challenging and evolving environment, The Gambling Commission’s role is to ensure that gambling is crime free, fair and open - and that children and vulnerable people are protected. Now we need you to play a key role in our future, driving the change needed to ensure that we can meet the growing complexity of the market and our developing regulatory remit.

We are really excited to be recruiting for such an interesting role. As a Manager within the Industry Insight, shared regulation and partners programme you will contribute to the Commission’s understanding of and engagement with the gambling industry. The principal areas of activity for this role are in the casino and bingo sectors and you will be expected to develop expertise in all aspects of these parts of the gambling industry. You will advise internal and external stakeholders on legislation, products, and data trends, contributing to the Commission’s work across the whole spectrum of regulatory engagement with the industry.  

While we don’t expect you to already be an expert in the casino and bingo sectors, some knowledge of the gambling industry would be a bonus and you will definitely need proven experience of a regulatory or policy environment. You should also be a strong communicator who can build sound working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders. On top of that, you’ll bring the ability to understand and communicate complex issues, creatively source evidence and analyse findings to produce concise and insightful reports.

We are located in modern offices in the centre of Birmingham just a few minutes’ walk from the revitalised New Street Station and new tramline extension. Shops – including the Mailbox, Grand Central and Bullring shopping malls - are close-by, along with a huge range of eating places, cinemas, theatres, museum and galleries.
