Qualitative Director, Social - Cultural/Behavioural Research Consultancy
We are genuinely excited to be working with this ground-breaking consultancy as they build on their ten years of success. They seek a talented senior qualitative researcher to join their multi award-winning cultural and behavioural research team. Using techniques derived from the fields of anthropology, psychology, and commercial market research they work for government, charities and multi-national companies on service redesign and insight projects looking at some of the most important subject matter in the UK. Their approach to research is investigative and robust; embracing key ideas in social innovation, behaviour change and evaluation.
Experienced in a broad range of qualitative research techniques your background will include a strong social element, both academic and cutting edge agency work that has delivered real impact. You will be passionate about high quality research design, be a skilled writer including compelling proposals, detailed reports and gripping real-life stories and have exceptional project leadership and client development skills in place. Heading up such a variety of projects and clients, you will need to be comfortable with both highly collaborative, high-energy innovation projects as well as planning-heavy public sector processes.
Ethnographic or behavioural research experience would be an advantage, but more important will be your expertise in social sciences and current affairs – staying up-to-date with the latest thinking and effectively contributing to discussion and debate. Other characteristics of interest for our client include experience with ‘hard to reach’ groups, a creative flair – in particular an eye for graphic design, photography or film and/or competence in quantitative research.
