Rewarding opportunity to champion statistical excellence across this large and well regarded regulator, as a key member of a new specialist analytics team this role is an overarching and guiding one that requires an experienced statistician.

As a regulatory organisation our client is continually pushing its capabilities in order to provide the most cutting edge and relevant data and analysis in order to provide the best service to its industry. As such this key role is in place to ensure analytics teams across the organisation are using the best methods and to the highest standards to collate and evaluate a range of data.

Following the success of initial work in this field, we are establishing a new central analytics team. At this exciting time of change and evolution, this role will help to shape the work and its impact.

You will be a recognised expert providing statistical guidance, analysis and quality assurance and as head of profession you’ll create a successful future and an enduring professional legacy. Overseeing a wide range of statistical analysis techniques, you will ensure they are applied in the right time and place. We will look to you raise awareness of good practice in the analysis and interpretation of quantitative data, and to assure the quality of numerical analysis outputs in various publications. There will also be plenty of opportunity to continue in a hands on role taking on current projects on an ad hoc basis.

Together with a relevant qualification, you have proven professional experience of using your excellent statistical skills. This includes extracting - and communicating - clear stories from complex and unstructured data sets. You have a demonstrable flair for acquiring sound understanding of complex business issues and processes, to ensure analysis is accessible and relevant. Both face to face and in writing, you are highly skilled at communicating clear and accessible information, drawn from robust analysis.
