Associate Director - Deliberative Research - Independent Insight & Strategy Consultancy

Our client is an insight-led strategic advisory firm dedicated to putting public and stakeholder opinion at the heart of their clients' thinking. Their research methodologies span all qualitative and quantitative techniques, and they have a diverse client base across the private, public and third sectors.

They are looking to recruit an Associate Director who has strong experience in deliberative research to join their fast-growing Deliberative team where you will get the opportunity to work on projects that involve people in making decisions, policy or plans – not just providing research data to a client.

Deliberative research methods are broad in nature, we are therefore looking for people that have experience in at least one of the following:

Public engagement, public dialogue, deliberative research or engagement, community engagement, patient or public participation and involvement, citizens juries or assemblies, co-creation or co-production.

In addition to a strong focus on high quality research skills, project management expertise, commercial acumen and plenty of initiative, proactivity, enthusiasm we are also looking for:

• Public sector experience. This could be agency or in house (government, third sector or academia)
• Experience in winning new business and bid writing.
• Grounding in wider qualitative methods and quantitative experience will be highly advantageous.
• Key to this role is fieldwork, so we seek those with experience of running face to face workshops and events and understand participant experience and supporting inclusion.
• Strong project management experience.
