We are looking for an inquisitive individual who can plan and manage consumer and market research projects, ultimately demonstrating the ability to transform data from a variety of sources into actionable insights and recommendations to ensure customer satisfaction and to grow our brands. As such, the role will include the collection and analyzing of data and reporting to stakeholders.

Focusing on UK and Ireland’s gaming brands, Gala Bingo and Foxy Bingo, and based in sunny Gibraltar, you'll work predominantly on Ad Hoc Quantitative projects. You'll help design the online quantitative surveys on a project-by-project basis ensuring that each project addresses a key business objective in supporting our internal stakeholders’ needs. We have a variety of tools and data sources at our disposal, including the ability to conduct surveys in-house directly with our customers, utilising external panels, and collaborating with research agencies. Our stakeholders and projects cover a huge range; you can expect to be working on exciting projects covering marketing & communication effectiveness through to product innovation and Safer Gambling.

Key responsibilities:

  • Independently own and manage all phases of the market research process including identifying needs, sending RFPs (when outsourced), project design, sample design, execution, analysis, and presentation of results,
  • Liaise with internal departments to gather their research needs and provide appropriate qualitative / quantitative research solutions,
  • Assess stakeholder briefs, including deciding whether there are clear business objectives that research can support on
  • Maintain high standards of analysis and reporting to ensure learnings are presented in an actionable and inspiring way,
  • Make judgment on which information to use and the level of confidence people should have in using it,
  • Ensure all research is fully compliant with GDPR and MRS guidelines, and in-line with Entain’s principle of “Do The Right Thing”
  • Leverage global Market / Consumer tools to identify insights from local consumers and markets,
  • Apply learning from research studies and analytic deep dives to develop strategic insights,
  • Share best practices and regional insight within the global research team,
  • Manage relationships with providers; ensure an up-to-date portfolio of suppliers, monitor the evolution of consumer research methodologies and techniques (especially data science techniques on survey, ad testing, and other innovative research techniques), and support contract, legal and invoicing processes,
  • Attend relevant stakeholder meetings for allocated areas (sports brands gaming, bingo, casino, poker) and feeding back to local research team,
  • Liaise with other areas of the Global Research teams for supporting data,
  • Deputise for the Head of UK & Ireland and/or Global Research Heads when necessary
  • Line manage customer researcher establishing regular 121s and setting development plans.

Specialist skills and experience:

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree required – Master’s degree a plus,
  • Project Management and Consumer Insights experience gained in a multidisciplinary research and insights function or agency,
  • Experience in quantitative and qualitative research design, analysis, and interpretation,
  • Strong team player, collaborative and works effectively with cross functional teams, agencies and suppliers,
  • Experience with syndicated sources (e.g. Nielsen, Kantar Worldpanel, …),
  • Solid analytical skills and strategic thinking with the ability to solve problems and develop solutions in complex environment,
  • Ability to take multiple data-inputs and synthesize into easy to understand and actionable insights,
  • Exceptional consumer sensitivity, empathy, and intuition, combined with understanding of market dynamics and trends,
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (from public speaking to producing a beautiful and clear deck), with experience presenting to senior leaders and executives,
  • High level of accountability, flexibility, and self-direction to work autonomously,
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and complete projects in a timely manner,
  • High level of organizational skill and excellent attention to detail,
  • Experience in analytical software (e.g. Q, R, SPSS, Telmar, IMS, Choices, SAS, STATA, Excel Pivot Tables, PowerBI dashboards) a plus,
  • Experience with Qualtrics or other survey scripting platform is a plus,
