At Swarm Recruitment we are looking for an enthusiastic, driven and competent research manager to work on a range of bespoke quantitative and qualitative projects for a client based in Cornwall. Our client is a growing research agency that delivers data collection and full-service market research services. They work across B2B and Consumer primarily in the engineering, technology, finance, local government and social sectors.

 

The role is hands-on project management and operational, so the research manager can expect to find themselves involved from initial briefing to presentations and imparting expert knowledge. This role would suit somebody with primary research and project management experience who is looking to progress into a management position.

 

The Role:

 

  • Planning research projects and ensuring works progress in line with client expectations
  • Understanding and communicating internally the needs of projects
  • Keeping clients informed of project progress, finding solutions to problems when needed, and are being communicated with clearly and consistently
  • Contributing to design of research methodology against client objectives
  • Development of research instruments, such as writing questionnaires, discussion guides and analysis plans
  • Delivering reports and presentations that that are insightful and consistently high quality
  • Proactively lead on improving delivery of quality market research services to clients

 

Requirements:

 

  • 3+ years of primary research and project management experience
  • Ability to demonstrate a good level of experience in classical research methods, such as telephone, face-to-face interviewing and online
  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly numerate and an analytical mindset
  • A high level of IT and digital literacy
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work well to deadlines and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Positive and solutions-focussed attitude with a passion for research
  • Occasional attendance to both head office in Cornwall and office in Stockport
  • Experience in classical qualitative methods such as in-depth interviews and focus groups will be advantageous
