Job Description

We now have an excellent opportunity for you to begin your career in Marketing / Market Research with a 1 Year Student Placement as a Research Assistant. This role will be based from our offices in Smethwick (B66 1BY) and you will report directly to our Research and Insight General Manager.

In this role you will be fully immersed in the day-to-day activities of a busy Marketing department where you will begin to develop research skills.

Key Tasks/Areas of Responsibility

  • Undertake and summarise desktop research as directed by your Manager , gathering competitor, CEP, or e-commerce market information
  • Update monthly research template reports
  • Handle communication relating to a variety of research projects and answer survey enquiries and queries sent to the dedicated research mailbox
  • Read and code survey verbatim responses into set code frames
  • Work together with the marketing or design teams to develop survey banners and other survey / research related communication

Qualifications

About You

To be considered for this role you will be passionate about starting a career in Marketing / Market Research. You will have the ability to be able to work to see a programme of work through from inception to completion.

In addition to this we would expect you to have the following;

  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Investigative and analytical mind along with a high degree of enthusiasm
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills are required
  • Ability to cope with a fast paced and pressurised work environment.
