We are seeking a talented Policy Advisor to join our Research and Innovation Policy team.

The role

As a Policy Advisor, you will develop and deliver high-quality evidenced policy advice, via a fast-moving mix of reports, workshops, events, briefings and responses to consultations. This includes leading the team’s policy-in-practice work and supporting our Research and Enterprise programmes.

You will work with some of the country’s best innovators, researchers and business leaders to ensure their experiences inform policy development so that the UK has a dynamic and thriving ecosystem for engineering R&D and innovation, while going the extra mile to build our public profile.

We can offer you excellent support and development and a chance to grow your own profile in the engineering and policy worlds, and to make a real contribution to delivering lasting change.

Who are we looking for?

You will have a keen interest in innovation, entrepreneurship, technology and research, and be capable of building productive and respectful relationships with thought leaders. You must have strong analytical skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven track record of delivering high-quality evidence-based policy work at pace. But your proactive approach, passion and determination to advance the UK’s performance in engineering innovation, and contribute to a diverse and inclusive organisation and the team are what will matter the most.

If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
