Job Details
Working as part of an Insights team for this well-known and far reaching Regulator you will be focused on helping deliver the flagship tracking survey. You will work in conjunction with several research agencies, remaining close to the data but also taking responsibility for ensuring the survey is relevant and delivering insights and outcomes. A large scale quant survey, the focus is on understanding consumer attitudes, satisfaction and choice. There is also supplementary qualitative research to fill evidence gaps and complement the quantitative research, and to provide educative and communications material.
As a Senior Associate you will provide specialist research skills (primarily quantitative), as both a manager of market research agencies and as a market research practitioner.
You will have excellent technical abilities, able to join the dots between the different parts of the project, understanding dependencies and able to identify risks and emerging issues.
As the project evolves, you will create and lead new workstreams, for example in survey design, questionnaire development, data analysis and stakeholder liaison.
- You will take ownership for a significant part of the programme. Designing and managing the analysis and reporting requirements of colleagues in one or more of the sectors, by way of written reports and graphic presentations
- Delivering publications, from design stage through to ensuring the report is delivered on time to a high standard
- Creating and using Insights
- Managing work with Communications, including work related to the quality of writing and editing reports, the design of charts, consistency in how results are reported, and digital deliverables such as embedded video and podcasts

Essential Requirements
- Experience of working in a market research agency, and/ or have significant research practitioner experience in a client-side senior research role
- Experience of different styles of writing and communication skills suitable for a range of audiences, such as speeches, briefing notes and blogs - making survey data and insights highly accessible
- Expertise in designing quantitative research studies, to solve complex business problems
- Experience of a wide range of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and analytical techniques (e.g. multivariate analysis, data segmentation, sampling and weighting) and data presentation packages
- Significant attention to detail, including an ability to identify problems fast
- Ability to work autonomously, to deliver work on your own initiative
- Excellent stakeholder management: ability to work collaboratively and flexibly,
- Experience of working on tracking or longitudinal surveys
- Good knowledge of survey statistics, such that you contribute to discussions on sampling and weighting
