Assistant Project Manager – Public/ Not-for-profit Research Consultancy

Birmingham or Manchester or Leeds (Currently home working, Hybrid working post-covid)  £20,000-£25,000 (location dependent) + bonus + benefits

This thought-provoking consultancy boasts a team of research experts with extensive experience in using research to support policy development, appraise government initiatives, evaluate services and generally understand community needs, both UK and overseas. Their clients are a fascinating mix of government agencies and departments, charities and not for profit organisations.

They are now on the lookout for a highly organised junior project manager to join the team, based in Birmingham, supporting researchers in the delivery of projects across varied social policy areas including wellbeing, health, children, education and employment. Although the office is in Birmingham, you will initially be based at home with hybrid office and homeworking post-covid.

Working closely with the Project Director, supporting the Survey team with  face-to-face, telephone and online interviews and postal surveys, your responsibilities will range from setting up and managing projects, coordinating diaries, writing fieldwork schedules, booking venues and organising incentives. You will have the opportunity to work on local, regional, national and international levels with clients who make a difference to society.

Key to success in this role will be your ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients. With experience in project support and administration, ideally you will have gained some experience working in a Market Research agency.
