Job Details

Brand new role created to work as part of the Strategic Change Directorate. This role has
been created to provide the vision and strategy for all data management activities across the
organisation; it will guide and influence the organisation's operational strategy through
developing and implementing actionable insight. This role manages a team overseeing Analytics,
Digital Change and Data Governance and will be overseeing and developing the Information
Management Program, advanced data analytics, data stewardship and data service provision,
business intelligence and data warehousing.

The post holder will be responsible for delivering the organisational cultural change required
to enable the organisation to adapt to the modern ways of working and use of information.
Operating in a complex environment with numerous diverse practices and principles, you will be
focused on transformational change and ensuring it unlocks and maximises the potential within
the information and data held by or available to the organisation. This includes maximising the
benefit from data and enabling its use in a proactive operational environment. You will
integrate a wide range of diverse functions across the organisation in order to deliver their
overarching aims in respect of data enterprise functions.

The role is required to inspire and motivate change in processes and behaviour and is a senior
role, making recommendations to the board, act as a key influencer within the organisation and
with external partners. Key challenges to address are under-utilisation of the data, current
quality and integrity of the data collected and a failure to unlock the potential of this
information and you will be pivotal in unlocking future investment in this area of business.

Assuring data integrity is also within the remit and therefore you will be responsible for
developing policies and priorities in the field and ensuring public confidence is maintained
and standards are of the highest possible standard.

Bringing significant knowledge and experience of data analytics and its current and emerging
technology, you will inform on the potential for the use of data and information, the security
and integrity of the data and the customer facing services that seek to obtain or make use of
the data. Experience in a similar role , gained from any sector is required. Our client
operates in the public sector and so experience in developing public services is desirable but
an interest in using data for the social good is essential.

The recruitment process will follow strict government vetting processes but is high priority
and a hire is expected to be made before Christmas.
