Based in Northumberland, just 20 miles west of Newcastle, our award-winning boutique agency is looking for a bright and enthusiastic Associate Director to join our team, working in support of our Research Director.

Working with many of the UK’s leading consumer brands, media owners and public and third sector organisations, you will be a strategic and experienced researcher, ideally with a minimum of 8-10 years in the research industry, who understands customers, is commercially-minded, sales-oriented and takes pride in delivering high quality research and powerful insights.

Our agency offers a range of different solutions from audience insights/profiling and segmentation through to ad effectiveness and brand tracking. Projects can be quant, qual or mixed methodology. As such we’re looking for someone with either quant or qual experience ideally with a history of working with consumer brands or media owners. Solid experience in the market research sales process is key, as sales/business development meetings with prospects and existing clients will be a key part of this role.

Previous experience in a similar market research agency, client-side or consultancy role is essential and you should be skilled at working at an advanced level to both sell and deliver research.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Sales meetings with prospects and existing clients
  • Business development and relationship building with new prospects and key clients
  • Supporting our Research Managers in their business development and proposal writing with new prospects and key clients
  • Leading on project work with key clients or on large, complex projects and supporting Research Managers in their project work as required
  • Line management

This role is office-based if based in the North East but we would consider home-working from locations outside North East. Please note you will be expected to travel regularly to London for sales and business development meetings.
