Market Intelligence Manager (Higher Education)

In the 21^st century, universities offer more than just traditional degrees, with offers such as short courses, CPD and apprenticeship degrees now in their portfolio

This research-hungry University actively uses research and insight to help them make decisions across all their courses and subjects, to create a competitive advantage.

Recognising the value of this approach, they are presently expanding their Insight and Strategy team and this is a newly created role

Your main focus will be identifying, analysing, interpreting and synthesising data and information from existing sources and then communicating this research to non-technical colleagues to help them address their business issues.

However, you will also work with others in the Insight team on wider projects – for example drawing out information to describe the characteristics of potential students or the needs of local employers.

This will allow you to gain a deep understanding of the higher education, subject and industry landscapes, identify provision gaps and generate new ideas.

You will be working alongside a primary research expert and a market analyst to provide the full range of research skills.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in commercial market intelligence and be able to translate business questions into effective research that provides clear recommendations for action. You will also need excellent communication skills, great attention to detail and experience in delivering high quality reports.

Although this is intended a full time role, a four day week will be considered for really strong candidates and there is a certainly degree of flexibility over working hours and a very generous holiday allowance.
