This new role at Alzheimer’s Research UK offers the successful applicant the opportunity to help develop the Insight function at the charity, ensuring Insight fuels key strategic thinking and decision making across the organisation.

The Insight Officer will help to develop an Insight led culture by providing regular reporting to the leadership team, ensuring the organisation is up to date on the operating environment, sector trends and potential opportunities. In addition, this role includes management of the market research commissioning process and the internal research library, keeping research central and available to all teams and business owners. There will also be an opportunity to help shape and develop supporter KPI reporting.


You may be currently be working in a similar position within the charity or commercial sector and may be looking to take on more responsibility as an Insight expert.


Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

 

  • Producing regular monthly reporting to the organization using secondary research, ensuring the charity is kept up to date on key insights and trends from across the charity sector and the potential the external environment could have on the charity.
  • Managing the ARUK Insight & Research library; maintaining and developing content, ensuring a complete overview of all ARUK primary research and appropriate external resources is accessible to all
  • Managing the Insight commissioning process; providing support and advice across the organization to those wanting to commission primary research
  • Supporting the Senior Insight & Project Development Manager to produce quarterly insight updates for the leadership team
  • Helping to develop and subsequently run the process to deliver regular measurement of supporter metrics/KPI

What we are looking for:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Knowledge of different types of market research methodologies and how they are best applied to achieve the best research outcome.
  • Knowledge and confidence working with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Experience of researching and collating secondary insight and working on both qualitative and quantitative primary research.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; with a natural ability to articulate ideas, problems and solutions
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to interact with different stakeholders


Location: Granta Park, near Cambridge.
Salary: Circa £25,000 per annum, plus benefits
