Insight Analyst | FTSE 100 Business

We are working with a FTSE 100 organisation that is revolutionising retail and tech. This organisation have come up with some of the most innovative solutions in the food distribution industry, and this helps them stay a few steps ahead of the competition in numerous areas including supply chain, marketing and customer experience. Their experience comes from understanding consumers through data and making decisions based on insights from this.

Unlike old-fashioned supermarkets, they don't rely upon a network of large chain superstores, but an innovative and centralised business model.

The trading insight role will be dedicated to understanding why customers buy what they do. How can you encourage customers to eat more healthily? Why is one product selling better than another?

This role is deep diving into a range of factors that determine purchasing behaviours by extracting, manipulating and analysing sales data to make critical recommendations. Recommendations that drive the whole business.

They run regular training sessions on the key tools needed - choosing visualisations, presentation skills, SQL, VBA, and more. It's a great chance develop your analytical skills alongside stakeholder management.

From you:

• Numerate and analytical thinking with experience in retail or consumer-facing FMCG
• Commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
• Curiosity about customer motivations and human behaviour
• Strong communication, teamwork and influencing skills
• Excellent Excel skills and knowledge of SQL and Tableau would be advantageous
• Numerate or Technical Degree
