Salary

Closing date

Join a group of inquisitive minds that make sense of relationships between people, brands & culture.

Using research led techniques, they unlock opportunities for brands to grow by inspiring strategies that engage consumers and create cultural meaning. Ever- evolving they collaborate with academics, opinion leaders and clients to push boundaries and create new possibilities

Some call them Researchers, others call them Brand Strategist but actually they are a mixture of both which is what makes them rather special.

As a Planner you will help create and build strategy for some of Australia’s leading brands by utilising consumer and non- consumer insight techniques.  These will include talking to people face to face and in online communities, using projective techniques and observing body language. You’ll immerse yourself in the daily lives of consumers and develop a deep contextual understanding of motivations and behaviour.  Ethnographies and mobile diaries will also reveal ‘in the moment’ insights about how people shop, use products or go about daily lives.

Research is about getting to know people and this agency employs a range of creative qualitative techniques in order to reveal rich insights which are then leveraged to provide strategic planning for brand & communications development.

These insights will answer business problems like:

- How should I segment our market?
- How can we better meet the needs of our customers?
- How should we communicate the message?
- What does my brand own in the mind of the consumer?
- Are our communications emotionally engaging?
- How can we ensure that we have a lot of new product ideas to keep our pipeline full?

This is great level in the business where you will work with some of the brightest minds in the industry to really flesh out your skills as a researcher and strategist. You will work end to end on projects from kick off brief right through to deliver impactful presentations with lots of in field experience to use the techniques described above.

You’ll be encouraged to take increasing ownership for clients with the support of a Senior Strategist.

Core skills will include: Client servicing applying qualitative research techniques, brainstorming and idea generation, overarching brand & communications knowledge, application of cultural insights, report writing and developing your presentation style.

Both local candidates and international candidates are encourage to apply.
