Qualitative Research Executive (social research)

The bread and butter work of this brilliant, boutique agency is to help in the development and evaluation of advertising and communications aimed at encouraging people to behave in socially desirable ways (avoiding childhood obesity, preventing STIs or teen pregnancy, reducing knife crime or encouraging financial provision for the future for example).

With challenging, often young and sometimes vulnerable audiences, they use sensitive and creative approaches to get under the skin of these issues and forensically deep analysis to draw out every drop of insight.

Although they are small, many of their clients are big hitting government departments or health agencies.

You could find yourself assisting with any elements of their projects – from organising travel, venues and incentives, to note taking in focus groups and carrying out your own depth interviews.

You will face a steep learning curve though, working with inspiring seniors on a range of absorbing and worthwhile issues, and you should expect to develop your skills rapidly.

The successful candidate will be someone bright and confident, with an excellent academic record and English as their first language, a burning interest in qualitative research, a willingness to work hard  and the self-discipline for mainly home-based work.

If you have a social science degree (or, better still, a Masters in Research Methods or Social Research), which has given you a taste of qualitative research and an interest in behavioural economics, then you could be a great fit.
