They seek a talented Research Manager with a qualitative bias who is keen to join a fast paced, evolving company. They are currently a small team utilising all methods, therefore any quant skills would be great so you can support on the integrated projects. However they would be happy to train in these techniques enabling you to get involved across all of the design and analysis stages.
Saying that, the role is qual first and foremost. Managing qual projects from initial design stage though to dissemination of the findings, you will be comfortable with face to face methods e.g. focus groups, depths, ethnographies and keen to present back to senior level clients. Whilst knowledge of the kids/youth landscape would be useful, it is certainly not essential as you are just as likely to be working with adult respondents as young people. More important are your solid qual skills and your enthusiasm for working in a team where you will be able to shape and develop your own role.
