Business Development Manager – research software platform

Self-service research is a huge trend for 2019 and this small, but highly experienced team have split off from their parent insight agency to really take things to the next level by exponentially developing their client base.

Their top-class software platform, which has survey and online forums all in one place, coupled with their access to respondents across the globe, gives them a hugely strong position in the market place.

They are now looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to take the lead in significantly growing their sales.

This is a terrific and open-ended opportunity; they have the energy and vibe of a start-up but with solid technical experience and a strong customer base already in place.

This role is all about new business, rather than account management, and the successful candidate will have the energy to build a strong sales pipeline and the drive to meet and exceed targets. 

You will establish contact and develop relationships with suitable prospects, by any means you deem appropriate, including attending conferences and networking events.

After recommending solutions that fit clients’ business needs, you’ll negotiate and secure contracts, as well as collaborating with the in-house technical team to develop innovative new product features.

The successful candidate will already have a proven track record in software sales (ideally in a research/insight context) and a strong network of existing contacts (many of their current clients are in media) and will be adept at identifying business opportunities.
