A global, multi-award winning customer insights agency is looking to hire a talented Qualitative Research Manager or Associate Director. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a creative, dynamic and progressive agency, who have a real focus on learning and development. Recent training includes storytelling sessions with journalists, organised talks from industry experts and attendance of industry conferences in the UK and Abroad.

The Role: Research Manager or Associate Director 

The Research Manager or Associate Director will be responsible for running their own projects with minimal supervision from start to finish. Projects encompass a multitude of methodologies including Workshops, Ethnography, Experiential and Event Intercepts, Focus Groups and Semiotics. 70% of the projects are international, supporting clients with Innovation, Cultural Understanding, Product Testing, Content & Comms Development, Usage & Attitudes studies etc. They deliver tangible insights, produced in engaging and creative formats, thanks to their in-house designers. Recent deliverables include Gamification Workshops, Podcasts, Videos and presentations using Infographics.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing key client accounts and building strong client relationships. 
  • Independently running international qualitative projects from end to end.
  • Taking a creative approach to client briefs, using a variety of methodologies to uncover valuable insight. 
  • Creating top-class presentations for your clients and delivering the ‘research story’.
  • Growing existing accounts and developing new business. 
  • Developing and up-skilling junior members of staff.

The Candidate:

The ideal Research Manager or Associate Director will have:

  • A strong background in qualitative research.
  • Experience in running qualitative projects from beginning to end. Experience in international projects would be a bonus.
  • First class qualitative skills including plenty of experience of workshop and focus group moderation, ethnography, interviews, online community moderation, etc.
  • Strong client management and business development capabilities, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • A collaborative researcher, with the ability to work within a team. 
  • A clear and direct communicator, who is commercially savvy.
  • An independent thinker.
