Qualitative Director – Leading Social Research and Policy Consultancy

This team’s research findings and analysis have an impact on Australian social policy at national, state/territory and local level. They work across a diverse and challenging range of sectors, including healthcare, welfare, housing, disability, regulation and employment and the research they do actually makes a difference.

Providing high quality research advice, insight and guidance to enable their clients to make evidence based decisions in the increasingly complex policy and regulatory environment, as a key member of the team you will be involved in conducting qualitative research from proposal to presentation. You will help answer difficult questions with practical answers.

Skill and responsibilities:

    Experience in social and public policy research allowing you lead research projects across a range of social sectors, utilising a variety of qual techniques.  
    Strong consultancy skills and the ability to manage internal and external clients.
    Strong hands on field work skills including conducting interviews, focus groups and small workshops.
    Managing budgets and timelines for projects.
    Promoting the firm and its business to create business opportunities.
    Creating draft proposals, tenders and submissions for potential projects.
    Leading, mentoring and developing a team of qual research specialists.
