Data Analyst | Sports Analytics
They are the experts in the understanding and delivery of location specific behaviour. They use mobile software and hardware to enable clients - Formula1, Wembley Stadium and UEFA - and global brands - Coca-Cola, Nike and BA, to capture analytics and deliver ROI of sports events and fan behaviour.
They have been going for two years and now a team of 8 in the UK, they also have teams in the US. They are having a big recruitment drive at the moment to keep up the current demand from clients. To date, they have outsourced analytics, but they are now looking to build an analytics function in-house.
Culturally, it's relaxed, very social and modern. They aren't bound by red tape, they're an ambitious team working in a fast-paced environment where everybody is genuinely excited about the next day at the office, including the insight manager, who has travelled internationally quite a bit since he joined a few months ago!
You will be spearheading the new analytics practice, which will involve collecting, organising and tracking data inputs, along with transforming and evaluating data, adhering to methodologies and processes, all with minimal supervision. You will assist the design of projects that address the clients' requests. You will be communicating with both internal stakeholders and clients of the business, along with conveying results to clients in a way that is simple to understand and informative. Working with such diverse clients guarantees that no two projects will be the same!
3-5 years' data analytics experience
Be interested in customer research and consumer behaviour
Detail oriented with good problem-solving skills
Be able to present complex data in easy to understand manner
Be able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
Must be passionate about sport and understand this industry sector
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
