Highly reputed research practice seeks a new member for their expanding team to focus on delivering insight and evaluation for the sustainable development community.

Their sustainable development unit sits within multi-disciplinary teams of evaluation specialists, social policy researchers and economists working across all areas of international and domestic social policy, and benefits from their expertise and network.

As a Consultant, you will support the delivery of primary research and independent evaluations of programmes, covering areas such as education, climate change, governance, gender equality, and public attitudes toward aid. Clients are excitingly varied including NGOs, international institutions, foundations, policy makers and more. The focus is on evaluating and monitoring social economic growth with 80% of the role looking at evaluation of policies, programmes and schemes and 20% on pure research for example U&As and public opinion polling. You will also play an important role in the growth of the unit and the development of thought leadership pieces.

Fascinated by exploring the effectiveness of interventions in international contexts and their impact, you will be confident with the design and delivery of monitoring, evaluation, research or consultancy projects. Development sector experience would be ideal but not essential and again knowledge of both quant and qual methods would be great, but they are happy to develop your skills in one or the other.

Based in their modern Central London office full of the amenities sought for an enhanced working environment, opportunities for international travel are there if you’re keen, but this is not a requirement for the role.

As part of a leading global research and insight firm, you will enjoy unparalleled support across the piece, including expert project managers, talented colleagues to collaborate with, ongoing investment in methodological innovation and your own professional development as well as a healthy regard given to the importance of a work/life balance.
