Job Details
If you want clients to engage with the insight you’ve discovered, then your deliverables need to be attractive and inspiring – not just a Powerpoint behemoth.
These guys completely get that and so have an in-house designer, who uses infographics to create punchy films, websites, posters (and the rest).
Their design-focus, along with their mixed methods ethos (qual, quant, traditional or innovative, let’s mix it up), really sets them aside from the crowd.
Small but growing rapidly, they now need a Head of Quant to cover maternity leave.
The team is tiny so, despite your senior title (and salary), as well as dealing with clients, you’ll be writing questionnaires, checking scripts and creating presentations. There’s not much in the way of people or budget management to trouble you - this will definitely suit a research purist.
Their work is all ad hoc, designed from scratch, to address strategic issues – “how do people eat desserts these days?” so really interesting stuff.
You’ll also have lots to learn; as well as their new-methods mindset you’ll have much more opportunity to explore your qual side (most projects are qual-quant and some prior experience will certainly be helpful). It’ll be a great new challenge and, given their rapid expansion, you may be able to carve a permanent niche for yourself.
