Predominately focused on digital, they also offer more traditional methodologies. The work is often exploratory in nature too, starting with fairly broad questions. The core of the business is innovation, brand and comms research. Lots of co-creation work, a genuine mix of quant and qual.

Why here? It's flat structured with lots of autonomy. They want you to have a voice and bring your own ideas to the table. Everyone in the business, regardless of experience, works collaboratively on projects. Most recently, they have been developing a bespoke diagnosis tool that looks into the emotional values of individuals across the UK and how they interpret and feel about brands and products. Their newest graduate came up with one of the project topics for this and it was commissioned.

Financially, they're currently ahead of budget for the year. They invest their money into their researchers, they have always hired few very good researchers with potential and spent a lot of time, training and funding on them. Unsurprisingly, people tend to stay here a long time!

As a research manager, you'll be managing full service projects and developing client relationships (DropBox, Samsung, BBC, Visa and F1 for instance). You'll need to ask yourself, "Can I genuinely make a contribution here?" Your responsibilities differ each day, you'll be hands on, scripting surveys and the next you'll be taking a long-term client to lunch to develop business.

Company

Insight, Analytics and Market Research talent sourcing has been at the heart of our business for 30 years. With 6 dedicated consultants we have immersed ourselves in the sector. We regularly attend courses and conferences and have written a number of reports and articles about insight and data. As a result we have friends plus a large network of contacts, in the sector. Outside recruitment some of our consultants work as mentors for the insight industry, we’ve been involved in charitable events, and work with a number of industry bodies.

The dynamic nature of the Data and Insight industry (30 years ago, no one had heard of Business Intelligence, UX or Big Data) means total absorption in the sector is essential. Our passion is to be informed and current, so we can partner you every step of the way. Members of APSCO the professional recruitment body (recruitment consultancies need to provide 10 professional references to join), we keep up with the latest technology and legal developments in the industry.
