Summary
Alterline are looking for a research manager to join our team in Manchester. Working with higher education clients, your research will have a social impact and ultimately help to improve experiences and outcomes for students. You’ll be joining an agency intent on building something different; our unique research collaborations and solutions are bringing clients together in communities of practice to solve common challenges.
If you’re ambitious, smart, and keen to immerse yourself in a fascinating sector, we’d like to hear from you. You’ll work in a small, friendly team in our Manchester office.

The role
The successful candidate will work across a range of higher education clients. The job will include aspects of quantitative and qualitative research design, fieldwork, analysis, client contact, project management, and report writing. As part of a small company, you'll work closely with the directors and team to develop innovative methodologies and creative approaches to delivering research that has impact.
Person specification
- Minimum four years’ experience in a market research role (quant, qual or both)
- Experience of designing research materials
- Involvement in fieldwork management
- Experience of data processing and analysis
- Great project management and client relationship skills
- Confident data storyteller and report writer
- Willing to learn and try new things
- Passionate, open to new ideas, proactive and enthusiastic.
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
