This is an exceptional opportunity for an outstanding candidate to make a significant impact on student recruitment and admissions at the University. In sharing insights with the Advancement Group at the University of Reading, you will be a strong communicator, demonstrating high-quality, proven analytical skills with the ability to uncover trends across multiple, large data sources and information. Additionally, you will have the ability to analyse and communicate complex data confidently to a varied audience, including via visualisations and the ability to clearly articulate to non-technical audiences potential outcomes and methodologies for quantitative insight projects.

The role is very varied and at the heart of our recruitment and marketing process; putting you at the centre of our Advancement Group at the University. The range of projects on offer gives you the chance to work with marketing and recruitment specialists across strategic and dynamic teams.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Quantitative and qualitative analysis of data to identify key trends and highest demand for courses across the HE sector and specifically for the University
  • Providing detailed market analysis on student enrolments but also for testing propositions with prospective students (UG and PGT), international recruitment agents, alumni or current UoR students
  • Uncovering accurate feedback of current students from any department about academic and non-academic issues
  • Testing and evaluating the effectiveness of internal communication campaigns
  • The analysis of applications across UK regions or specific countries for certain subjects ,factors affecting conversion, analysis of UCAS data and others
  • Establishing the ongoing maintenance of a central data and insights repository and inventory to create a single source for all insights
