Bring your experience in policy and/or employment research to this leading not-for-profit membership organisation which represents independent professionals and business people in the UK. The organisation has an extensive membership and its work is wide-ranging, covering PR/press relations, policy & strategy development, marketing and research and growth of the Research Team has created a role for an experienced researcher to lead key research initiatives and projects.
As Deputy Research Head, you will work closely with the Head of Research to formulate research strategy and help lead a team which provides research, commentary, policy development, government consultation research and trends analysis on a diverse range of employment and development issues that affect independent business professionals. You will lead high-profile flagship research projects and deliver key insights, from contributing to publications through to ad hoc and continuous studies. All fieldwork is commissioned, so the focus will be overall project design and management, then bringing together and disseminating research and data to provide insights, reports and recommendations that will help shape marketing and policy decisions.
This role also has both an internal and external outlook, as you will work with unit heads within the organisation, as well as external stakeholders, requiring the ability to effectively communicate insights and advise both marketing and non-marketing audiences. Team management skills are also desirable as well as experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team.
Probably at around Associate Director or Research Director-level, you should have a sound grounding in a wide range of research methods (both Quant and Qual) and be well-versed in developing bespoke research to address complex policy and marketing issues. Some experience of Social and/or Policy research would be highly desirable and this position is open to those with agency or client side backgrounds.
