Coming from a research agency and having worked on and lead primarily ad hoc research, you are expert with segmentation and U&A and can hold a room with great presentation/gravitas with clients. However even at this senior level, there is a hands on element to the role and you will enjoy working both with a broader team or sometimes grasping the entire project yourself. You will be mainly working directly with clients’ marketing teams as opposed to their insight teams and be asked to contribute to major strategic decisions regarding their portfolio with particular emphasis on positioning, innovation and market understanding.
