This is an opportunity for an experienced Business Developer to join a Research Consultancy that specialises in collecting, collating, analyzing and delivering data related to Employee and Customer satisfaction.

The combination of their well-developed propriety tools and the industry knowledge of their consultants has proven to be highly effective at giving their varied client base the understanding of the market they need to make the best possible decisions.

As part of their continuing growth plans they are now on the hunt for a Business Development manager to forge relationships with new clients, rekindle things with historic accounts and be responsible for the ongoing management of both. The focus will not be on cold calling as the business get a lot of work coming to them, you do however have to be comfortable leading those initial conversations and have a track record of hitting targets and growing accounts.

This is a highly consultative, knowledge based sales role that will suit a driven and diligent individual that enjoys working in an intellectually stimulating environment. You must have the professional gravitas to work confidently with c-suite members of client businesses and will be expected to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of your research product suite across proprietary research tools and consultancy services.

Although you will not perform any of the analysis yourself, you must have a firm handle on research and its importance in order to help your clients understand its value in their decision making processes. Your services will assist clients with a range of management processes including employee engagement, employee satisfaction, customer experience, member satisfaction and NPS.

This role will involve working closely with Senior Directors and will weave in and out of research projects from start to finish to ensure accounts are managed effectively and projects are delivered according to client’s expectations.

What experience do you need to apply for this position?

  • Experience working in a B2B sales environment will be highly advantageous. Ideally you will have worked with consultancy based products and be confident selling something grounded in analytics or research.
  • You will also be considered if you have a background suitable to a professional services environment and are now interested in something less hands on.
  • The right personality – although this is a consultative sale you need to demonstrate the tenacity, perseverance, tactfulness and resilience to suit a sales environment
