Associate Director - Qualitative - Leeds
Our client is a full service, boutique research consultancy, based in Leeds. They boast a warm and friendly working environment with modern offices and an impressive client list. They are now looking for an Associate Director to join their qualitative team. They will also consider a Senior Research Manager who is keen to move to Associate Director in the near future. The role will suit someone who enjoys being part of a close knit team and enjoys working in collaboration with quantitative specialists.
In this role, you will be working on a range of projects across a variety of sectors - including technology, retail, beauty, FMCG and financial services. You will be responsible for your own projects and for building up strong relationships with clients.
You will be responsible for leading on proposals and pitches with clients, finding the right approach and coming up with new ways to carry out research that can feed into key business decisions. You will be overseeing the SREs and RMs who will manage projects throughout the process, ensuring that they have the skills and ability to deliver on the project brief. You will be involved in the practical side of the research techniques such as co-creation workshops, moderating groups, online blogging, interviewing, vox pops, observation and semiotics. You will be overseeing several projects at one time, often as the lead or the number two, who can deal with clients at a high level. You will be required to add value to reports and presentations created by more junior team members - quality is key. A big part of your role will be to present to clients, showing them how insights can help them to make changes that lead to increased success. You will be working across a range of accounts, and will have the opportunity to develop ideas and seek out new business with your Directors.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level, with a strong qualitative background within a research agency or consultancy. You will be confident in coming up with new ideas, and will have had exposure to a wide range of methodologies. You will be a leader, who can help more junior staff develop and learn, and be able to troubleshoot when there is a potential problem. You will understand how qualitative and quantitative methodologies can work well in tandem. You will enjoy a consultative approach to your work, being in partnership with your clients.
