Research Manager - quant/qual - Online Communities
Our client is a niche research agency, with its own online communities and offering a range of quantitative and qualitative research methods to clients. They are warm, friendly and offer progression and advancement for the right person. They have been extremely successful lately and as such, they are looking to take on a Research Manager to take responsibility for setting up and running a new community for a not-for-profit client, as well as having the opportunity to work on a range of other projects within FMCG, media, retail and technology sectors. This will suit someone who has a strong ad hoc research background and is looking to take on more responsibility in their role and develop and build a strong client relationship.
In this role, your time will be split working on site at your client's offices, really getting to know and understand their business and identifying what benefits research programmes can have in making key business decisions. You will be supported by your manager in setting up the online community and design the research programmes with your client. You will be working on a range of research topics - such as campaign effectiveness, trends and new proposition testing. Work will be a mix of ad hoc and tracking in nature and you will be able to work on a mix of quantitative and qualitative projects as needed, although the role will be heavier on quantitative methodologies.
Key duties include:-
- Developing and managing strong relationships with your senior clients, where you will be the main contact on a daily basis
- Growing the account through recognising opportunities to conduct other research
- Managing from start to finish all research projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery of these
- Adding value to reports that will help the client really understand how to key marketing decisions
- Writing proposals
- Working on other projects with other members of the team, ensuring the smooth running and delivery of these
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level and will be working as a Research Manager in a research agency, with strong experience in ad hoc research methods. Experience in online communities or panels, and qualitative research would be an advantage. You will be an excellent communicator, with the ability to develop strong working relationships both internally and externally. You will be able to deliver projects accurately and to deadlines. You will be positive, a team player and someone who thrives on a challenge and delivering high quality work.
