The Financial Services KAM will take a leading role in the strengthening of GfK’s position in this category. The role will include business growth targets for both new and existing clients overall responsibility for driving revenue growth of the Industry, securing and growing profitable clients.

Key tasks & responsibilities:
The role has four core elements to it:

  • Supporting in the development of strategy for the Financial Services sector

  • Ensuring opportunities with existing clients are optimised by cross-selling across the whole GfK Product & Solutions portfolio

  • Identifying and converting profitable opportunities amongst new clients

  • Supporting business development activities within the team, drawing on the expertise of the Product & Solution Groups, Logistics and other relevant areas of expertise (e.g. GKAM’s, Marketing Science etc).

Key Individual Responsibilities

  • Delivering budgeted revenues.

  • Supporting Industry leads

  • Helping in the development of the Industry strategy

  • Supporting local marketing initiatives for the Industry

  • Working with the GfK Product & Solution portfolio with clients and identifying the need for client-specific products/solutions

Key Shared Responsibilities

  • Development and implementation of the long term strategy for the Industry

  • Together with the Industry lead and local Product team leads, ensures the best solution and team is in place for major opportunities

  • Works with the Product team leads to ensure information sharing between local Industry and local Product teams is in alignment with regional and global

  • Presenting latest GfK thinking/new solutions/products to strategic clients

  • Identifies and considers the implication of Industry trends and client key business needs - and feeds this back to Product Group Leads

Financial Services skills:


  • Proven track record in developing and seeking out new business opportunities
  • Strong pitch and proposal writing skills
  • A sound knowledge of the issues and challenges facing the Financial Services sector
  • A strong research background across innovation, brand and digital
  • A team player, who is comfortable working closely with other seniors in the team, but is also willing and able to work autonomously and establish their own priorities and objectives
  • Comfortable working across teams, bringing together people from different areas of the business
  • A passion for identifying, developing and executing new ideas
  • Able to identify and achieve new business opportunities
  • Able to build and maintain strong client relationships - is considered a long-term partner rather than a supplier

Typical education and work experience:

  • Degree level of equivalent
  • MRS membership/qualifications would be advantageous
