The role will take successful candidates to the heart of British retail

 • ABA Research Managers/Associate Directors are typically assigned to two or three clients who they work in partnership with across all the projects that retailer commissions
• Everything they do will build towards ABA’s USP of delivering ‘research that works’:
          o tailoring each project to fit the unique needs of the client
          o creating clear and compelling reports based on rigorous analysis and an open mind
          o generating insights for clients that deliver quick wins and long-term success
          o celebrating success for and with clients
• Previous senior research experience an essential however the role is also about having a passion for retail, an adaptable, enquiring mind plus the energy and commitment to deliver great outputs for our clients


We’re looking for core aptitudes ahead of narrow research skills

 • Ability to solve complex and high-level strategic problems
• Can successfully deliver multiple large, complex assignments
• Can maintain maximum levels of productivity whilst managing high workloads
• Ability to absorb a large quantity of information (both in words and numbers) and synthesise this into concise, persuasive reports
• Ability to draw opinions from people of a wide range of backgrounds and interests
• Can create client partnerships based on close, committed and fair relationships
• Can coach and mentor team members in a continuous, open and constructive manner
• Is able to present findings in an authoritative manner at senior level
