At Manchester Metropolitan University we have a diverse student population with over 30,000 students on campus.  We have an ambitious strategy and are looking to shape our portfolio of programmes across on campus and distance learning. To help us achieve this we are looking for an experienced and dynamic Market Research and Insight Manager to join the team.

You will work alongside colleagues in Marketing and Strategic Planning to help define and develop our approach to market intelligence and market research to inform decision making around our portfolio development Based within External Relations, you will report directly to the Director of Faculty Marketing, working with colleagues from across Faculties and Professional Services.

Typically, you will:

  • Play a lead role in developing and overseeing the University’s student market insight capability to support University-wide requirements for discipline-focussed, market research and insight.
  • Be responsible for developing and overseeing effective systems, processes and reporting to deliver a consistent and co-ordinated approach across the University.
  • Provide accurate and insightful market analysis and research to support the University’s understanding of current and future student market demand to inform decision-making and planning around portfolio developments and recruitment and pricing strategies.
  • Work with Faculties in developing new programme proposals by analysing trends and demands for different subjects and modes of study to ensure a market-informed and competitive portfolio across all modes and levels of study.

Ideal Candidate:

You will bring proven experience in leading and managing market insight activities, working collaboratively with other teams. You will have the ability to scope, plan and deliver complex student insight and research projects, work effectively as a senior member of the team and bring a creative and dynamic approach. You will have excellent communications skills with the ability to convey complex information to a range of audiences.
